    I have to choose Varitek here....his skill as a catcher is high and he has decent offense numbers.

    I like Posada, and I'm glad he's on the Yankees. I think Varitek is the better catcher here.

    I would take Varitek too. It doesn't matter which one you choose here though both are excellent catchers. I feel Jorge is probably a little overrated being on the Yankees and I think Varitek doesn't get enough attention.

    It's tough, but considering the parameters shown in the SS battle, I take Varitek since he is the team's captain, showing a major sense of leadership.
