Fact on Cano. Not as much pressure on him, so he can relax.
Fiction on Jeter. Even though I feel he is a top tier player in the MLB, his stats are just not alarming. Unfortunately for Jeter, intangibles of the game do not count towards the MVP.
Fiction on Sheffield. You get rid of a headache and the Yankees did just fine without him last year. I think that is the biggest reason they traded for him.
I forgot to ask, who is slated to be your RFer this year? Cabera or Matsui?

FACT on Cano. I think he has broken out for good.
Fiction on Jeter. he dosn't have the type of #s voters look for. Voters want HRs, he should have won it last year and didn't- he will likely never win one.
Fiction- we thrived last year w/o him then struggled when he came back. Abreu will have a good year and I like the looks of the everyday lineup better than I have in many years. On paper we don't have as much firepower but we have more balance, we don't need HRs.
