NEW YORK (AP) -- The New York Yankees reinstated outfielder Bubba Crosby from the disabled list Thursday and designated infielder Nick Green for assignment.
Crosby went on the DL with a strained right hamstring on May 19. He was injured trying to make a diving catch against Texas a day earlier. He was batting .263 in 31 games this season.
Green was called up from Triple-A Columbus on June 6. He appeared in just one game for the Yankees and did not bat. He had been purchased by New York from Tampa Bay on May 25 after going 3-for-39 in 18 games with the Devil Rays.
