I went a little risky on my pick, I think it's more likely to be a split, but I think we should win the 3rd game, should win at least one of the 1st and 4th(maybe both), and then hopefully Livan can keep us in the game.
I really like the Livan vs Lincecum matchup
I like Johan vs RJ. The Mets usually seem to do pretty well against RJ.
But the Pelf/Cain and Maine/Sanchez matchups should be interesting.
For tonight's game, Jose Reyes will sit with a tight calf, Delgado is still out for the series(Hip Impingement, Slight Muscle Tear, Bone Spur all in hip), and JJ Putz will miss at least 2 games with a bone spur in his elbow. My pick of 3-1 is not looking to good. Hopefully my Mets can find some energy and prove Giants fans like KoZ, LTR, and my dad wrong!
Dad is a Giants fan? Awesome!!
Yeah, he's not even from California...he grew up here on Long Island, but I guess when you find a team with Marichal, Mays, McCovey, and Bobby Bonds, they're easy to pick as a favorite. It's something I've dealt with for a while....he took me to my first ever game at Shea against the Giants, and even though the Mets lost, they turned a triple play.
As much as my baseball passion comes from my dad, I hope the Mets whoop the Giants this weekend.
Was his dad a NY Giants fan? Maybe that's where it came from
That's a good question. I never met the man, but I've been told that he wasn't very interested in baseball. Maybe somewhat, but not enough to really have much of a rooting interest. And my dad's mother was a Brooklyn Dodgers fan, so....
Kingdom isn't a Giants fan.
Weird...not sure why I thought he was.
I'd still like to prove him wrong though...
Merkin Valdez blows it for Lincecum, allowing three runs (Lincecum gets tagged for two of them) on David Wright's bases clearing double to tie the game.
Jeez, I never knew Brian Wilson was so.....not good.
