    Mets Citi "The Triple" Field

I was watching the Mets-Marlins game on MLB.tv as part of my normal procrastination routine, and saw another triple and I was thinking I was crazy thinking I'd seen so many triples and then I heard this stat.

Over the last 9 games, their have been 9 triples by the Mets, and 9 different players had at least one.

The way that ballpark is designed it will be hard to hit homers, but it could turn in a doubles/triples paradise.

Homers can be hit down the lines, from what I've seen, but I swear, I don't think there'll ever be a HR hit to center field. I kinda enjoy the park so far, but I can definitely see it getting really weird/annoying to see all the triples.

I mean, it's probably also a function of the Mets having good speed, and having many players with speed in Reyes, Beltran, Castillo, Wright...

All those players were on their team last year too right?

Yes, it's other teams too(due to the depth), and yes, those players were all on the team last year(although Castillo is a new player this year compared to last year), my point is just that the deeper gaps help, but it also helps that the mets have a lot of team speed....I'm saying both play a role in more triples.
