Update: Delgado aggravated his sore right rib cage on a swinging strike Wednesday, though he did not leave the game, but was sidelined on Thursday and may be out a few more days, the NY Newsday reports.

Recommendation: The Mets are taking no chances with Delgado, so look for him to be out until he is close to 100 percent. Julio Franco will see the majority of the playing time at first base while Delgado is sidelined, with Chris Woodward maybe seeing action there as well.
