Any suggestions on how to speed up development with the pitchers? Cincy is getting some great development from hitters but I haven't gotten much from the pitchers.

Ive got one that seems stuck in a couple categories, but I don't think an engine tweak will fix that...

Its been a long time since I've had the game. I know there's a part for speed of development, dont remember if one to up the rates of how many actually develop

There are sliders you can change for that but I've never messed with them since I took over the league. They're still at whatever Molina had them set at, and I don't intend on touching them because I don't want to mess things up from the way they've been running.

It may just be bad luck with those teams. My pitchers have developed well, but my position players have stalled more.

Leo is correct -- there are sliders from -100% to 200% in terms of development, aging etc

Leo -- can you let us know what the sliders are at? its in league setup/ engine setup?

I would imagine they are both roughly in the middle?

IIRC they're all basically about average in the middle. I have looked at them before, but it was a long time ago.

I didn't even mean changing sliders because I know others from those drafts have made the majors. I'm just wondering if "challenge them" would help as some have been at the same level (and talent) for going on 2 years.

I've noticed there is a degree of late blooming in this league.

I had Lou Gehrig years ago who at age 26 or 27 was still at 5 power (of 10) but then he quickly filled out.

I'm hoping the same happens with Mission and Oates.

OOTP must have taken a hit out on Marleau. Fortunately for me last year he was protected (for 3 hits) and now out for the season... Why do I have a feeling I'm going to be burning my save this year.
