There's a very earnest Boy Meets World feel to Girl Meets World, I think it's a fine successor. It just happens to be on Disney, so it can't go the more mature route yet, until he moves to one of their more mature channels.

I'm just not a fan of the girl playing their daughter. The girl that plays Maya though is outstanding.

Also I think Fuller House is a much better show.
