I think so long as my trades are okay that's not bad. I mean, the end result of trading #1 last season seemed to work out pretty well for me (though, that depends on how one views Daniels and Walker). I'm definitely done making trades just to make them.

Kaep lets me have the draft come to me since I have him and Shinn at AAA. I was almost deadset of needing to do best starting pitcher available because of how the farm was shaping up. Now I can take truly bpa and not be too concern about position.

Until Leo actually shows the class we can't really throw legit offers out there IMO, I wouldn't be opposed to moving up just to have pick of everything but I'm not going to overpay when I'm still in a position to get a top flight talent at 5 and have ~19th as a fall back for BPA.

It worked out since I have a plethora of SP but short on bats. I'm picky about bats and the ones I got fit what I want so I can essentially go BPA too. Where the value was last draft at the end didn't do much for me. I don't value RPs at all, and Cuervo was a nice niche player, but Graham is better.

It makes no sense in executing a deal right now unless we both find it advantageous, but I didn't put the thread up early enough last season to make it fluid.

Yea I didn't expect you to give up all 3. I always have a guy or two like Cuervo on my team. He hopefully will play a role much like Hayes did for the last run (I'm tempted to move him to ss or 3b and just see if I can't add some more value).
The main reason I wanted all 3 picks was Keith Stone. He might be the eternal tease but I see him being a potential Russell (start in key moments and rely on the pen for innings 6-8).

I normally don't try and add relievers until I'm basically at the precipice but if Keith Stone had even just 6 or 7 endurance he's probably a borderline top 10-15 guy for a number of teams.

The talent had a MASSIVE drop off after that, I knew I wouldn't get anyone at 14 that I really wanted (the guy I ended up with was like 9th or 10th on my list).
