I never asked for you to do it. I think I said I wish the NL had the DH with some of the butchers I have (Weeks, Allen).

When Weeks has a full season over .950 it would be his first at ANY position.

gets to a lot of balls, doesn't convert them all. It happens. Better than a statue who gets to 50 balls all year and converts them all.

I guess it's a question of whether you prefer range to fielding percentage.

I think I'd rather have a fielder who can get to everything even if he muffs some of them, personally.

Of course, I largely ignore defense in favor of offense so I'm not really a credible opinion.

One year my defense was so bad that I had more than 1 error per game. Weeks was a big part of that (I think this was just before the Jones deal and the year before I moved Grant to 2b and won a GG). He had some 45 (40 were at 2b) errors BY HIMSELF. His fielding pct was like 919 that year at 2b.
