Can't we just go like 7 rounds this year and then change it back to 10 next year? I know a lot of the team don't keep their 8-10s, anyway.

I wish we could just give the new teams a talent equivalent prospect, and then starting next draft, they're apart of the draft order. I don't like that I'm going to have my picks 4 picks lower because we decided mid-season to change things.

Yeah, wait until I go through the 45 minute process of meticulously deleting everybody so I can generate a new 280 person sized draft class and then suggest that they just don't draft.
I don't like that idea though because the game will want to put them into the draft. I'd have to take the time to trade away all of their prospects. Waaaaaaay too much work, even for someone like me who doesn't mind wasting a lot of time playing with this game.
I'll just make the draft deeper than usual to account for the drop in draft spot, which is fine since I planned on going 3 rounds deep with name edits anyway.

well, with 4 new teams, it stands to reason the draft should be deeper anyway.

The draft shouldn't even be that deep. Doesn't make sense for the great teams to get great specs. The great ones should be for the shit teams and the decent specs should be for the great teams.
I'm not going to make 5 tool players for everyone.
I always try and let everyone get a worthwhile prospect in round 1, but only the shitty teams get your Jack Marstons and Felix Hernandezes
But on the other side of the spectrum, I don't like CPU generated drafts where you're getting some shit 3.5 prospect at the end of round 1 that you have to hope for a boost on for him to hopefully be a worthwhile bench player.
