The only thing I ever said was that I wouldn't give up a 1st round pick for him because I haven't had good luck with players over 34/35 in this league. That is all I ever said about the situation. You have me confused for someone else. And I never said I knew everything lol.

White is the exception to the norm.

There is some credence to what OM has argued, he just obviously doesn't think it's worth the risk while others may be willing to risk it. But either way the risk is still there once the player hits 35. (Well, the risk is always there with OOTP, but it spikes higher around that age)

The only three things that stopped me from trading for White are 1) I'm an NL team that can't use a DH and with Gehrig I don't have 1st base open 2) My offense wasn't weak enough to regard him as the proverbial missing piece and 3) I didn't have a 1st rounder to give.

If not for those three factors I would have felt it was worth the risk.
