2050 Thread of in-season confab

I was originally planning to rebuild this year, but the dynamics of other GM's plans combined with the fact I never traded the core of my lineup or Passeau during the deadline last year led me to change my mind.

But I actually kinda like the way it's turned my team around even as it currently stands.

So, Brock is replaced by a Gwynn/Henderson platoon until they hopefully develop and both become full time starters
Waner is replaced by Aaron
Warnke is replaced by Gomez
Schoendienst is replaced by Lynch
Walter Johnson's died off, but is replaced by O'Toole

Outside of the bullpen, the only loss I haven't really replaced is Schuck. But since Hodges can catch my options are broader than they otherwise might be.

Seems to be the case since I joined. 3 quarters of the league is selling, maybe a quarter is buying.

People go in cycles. LA has been a buyer for a long long time. San Diego rebuilt, bought for awhile, and then reloaded. Madsheep and Philly fan rebuilt for awhile before now being contenders again.

I'm kind of in a tough spot. I've got 2M to spend in FA with three spots to fill. I know I can compete for another title, but only if just about everything goes right.

That being said, I'm open to discuss trading anyone on my roster.

I arguably should have rebuilt about 7-8 years ago. I was kept afloat by revenue and Burdette being cheap and almost as dominant as Alexander. Those two made it possible to extend my window.
