    Looking for a little advice..

    If SP Urban Shocker(I'd post a link to the page but for some reason can't figure out how to do it on firefox) was your top prospect, what would you do with him at this point?

    He just finished his first full season at AAA and is currently at 10-7-8 out of 10-9-8. 3.60 ERA, 1.40 WHIP.

    I'd get him some innings in the majors but I've not had a rookie of the year like ever because I'll call guys up in September.

    I think he's ready, he may get a nice jump if he succeeds in the majors, but keep an eye on him. If he starts to get rocked it doesn't hurt to get him right again in AAA.

    Given your team situation, 23 games out of first place in the division, why would you bring him up for 3 weeks? Why start his MLB clock now? It won't hurt him to leave him in AAA for three weeks. If it were July, or you were in contention, I'd agree that he is ready for MLB, but in your situation... I'd put him in the #3-#5 slot in the roto on OD of next season and shoot for ROY. What will happen by calling him up now, is 3 years from now on 9/11, he will become arb eligible. 6 years from now on 9/11 he will become an FA. Maybe you sit him in AAA then... I think the time is the only real difference.

    Leave him until next year. I'm not a big fan of September callups, and I agree with OM's post. Or do like Zito and flip a coin.
