Twins lost more than just a game tonight in Fenway. Torii Hunter tore a tendon in his left ankle during the first inning of Friday's game. Earlier, ESPN said that Hunter could be out for up to 6 weeks. Not good for the Twins. They wont miss his bat, but they'll definitely miss him on the field.





Twins lose the first in the series 5-8. All five of the Twins runs came in the last 3 innings, which is nice to see late inning production from the Twins, but they also gave up 5 runs during that same time frame.

Twins are now down 12.5 games in the ALC.

who will they call up from the minors? What deal are in the works? Damn it Hunter.

The Twins could have at least been close in that game just by avoiding that trainwreck of a play with Damon at the play, Graffanino at 1st, and Millar at 2nd. Damon hit a single to the OF, they (Jones) throw it home with no hope to nail Millar and it goes right through Mauer's legs. Mauer gets it and then tosses it to HP to try and get Graffanino and misses. Damon rounds third, they throw to third, he runs home, and then throw the ball into the back of his head. Could be a Ruben Rivera nominee.

Still, only two big plays in that game (Olerud's HR and Damon's single with two errors), too bad they cost the Twins 7 runs. Still showed some nice resiliancy.

Oh, and that's another reason I don't like the Fewnay triangle. So many Sox HR have turned into outs/doubles out there and CFs have gotten injured out there due to the extremely long run
