Twins Update

The Twins are playing good baseball. For a team that was not supposed to have much in pitching they are doing well. To me the pen has been the biggest surprise. On to the hitters, Joe Mauer looks to be the player of a few years ago. He is healthy and hitting the ball all over the field. If we can continue to play well and Hicks wakes up at the plate we could be a contender for the division. Right now it's fun watching the Twins.

I agree. Mauer has looked pretty good, but is striking out too much. Hicks moving down in the order should help him regain his confidence. When he does that, maybe he can move back to the lead-off spot. Morneau is starting to look better. Doumit and Plouffe haven't started to hit, and I'm not really concerned about Doumit. He'll come around. Plouffe concerns me a bit. I'm beginning to think he's a utility guy with power, not a major-league regular.
