Shoulder strain forces Twins' Kevin Slowey to 15-day disabled list | MLB.com: NewsThe Twins placed right-hander Kevin Slowey on the 15-day disabled list with a right shoulder strain Saturday and recalled right-hander Alex Burnett from Triple-A Rochester to take his place on the active roster.
Twins manager Ron Gardenhire initially said Slowey felt soreness in his right bicep while warming up before his appearance against the Yankees on Monday. But Slowey pitched a scoreless inning despite the soreness and was only supposed to be held out a few days before the club ultimately opted to place him on the disabled list.
