I don't disagree, but working with the Twins' coaches would definitely help him. He was good with them before and could be again.

Romero would be a good pickup if Fuentes doesn't stick around.

    # The Twins signed 32-year-old outfielder/first baseman Jeff Bailey, reports Seth Stohs. Bailey hit .289/.387/.462 with 12 home runs in 564 Triple-A plate appearances for the Diamondbacks' affiliate.
    # The Twins also signed infielder Chase Lambin, tweets Baseball America's Matt Eddy. The 31-year-old hit .252/.327/.414 with 15 homers in 548 plate appearances for the National's Triple-A affiliate in 2011. He has never played in the the big league, but did spend 2009 in Japan.
Bailey doesn't look like a bad guy as far as depth goes behind Morneau.

Small problem there, Cuddyer is doing a fine job at 1st base. Where are we supposed to play him? Kubel, Young and Span all need playing time.

Bailey would most likely be in AAA unless he just tears ST up so no real problem.

What about Cuddy at 3rd, Young/Span/Revere in the OF, with Morneau back at first with Bailey as back up. Cuddy started as a 3B, so he has some experience there. Plus it could give stability to the position that the team has been looking for.

Cuddy struggled when the team played him at 3B. Valencia has done a great job of stabilizing the position.
