    Indians Twins at the Jake

The Twins visit Cleveland this weekend. The Indians started the 2nd half off very hot and have cooled quite a bit recently. Losing Carlos Santana, Jake Westbrook and Jhonny Peralta (for different reasons, of course), certainly doesn't help.
Tonight, Liriano faces Jeanmar Gomez (in his 3rd career start).
    Tomorrow, Pavano gets Fausto Carmona.
Sunday, its Duensing v. David Huff.
Hopefully, the Twins can sweep these guys.

Liriano had a lot of trouble spotting his fastball and Gomez pitched pretty well, through 5.1 innings. Indians up 5-1.

The 'Stasche seemed to have it going again tonight and Trevor Plouffe hit his first homer in a 7-2 win. Mauer was 4/5 with 2 runs scored and 1 RBI. Kubel drove in a couple and scored a couple on a double and homer.
Mauer DH'd again, but with Butera hitting acceptibly, why not let him catch the games and take the punishment?

Twins won again, 5-4, over the Tribe today. Duensing overcame a shaky start to pitch 7.1 innings, the most he's ever pitched in a game. The Twins scored their 5 runs in the 5th inning with Jim Thome getting his 14 of the season and 185th at the Jake (I will not use its new name).
The Twins picked up a game on the Sox, who lost 4-3 in Baltimore.

Nice come from behind win. After the four runs allowed by Duesning he settled down nicely.

What is the status on Morneau????? Will he even TRY to play anytime before the season ends? To me he is milking the concussion.

Morneau is going to join the team in Chicago. He'll work out for a couple of days and, if everything goes well, he'll go out on a rehab assignment. Hopefully, he'll be back in a couple of weeks.

Morny needs to hurry up and get his ass back on the field.
