Don't let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game.
I'll give him 15

I think he will win 16-18 games. But he has to pitch like has LAST 7 starts compared to his 1st 6 or so.

TBL: Anaheim Angels 2006-present (238-244 regular season, 1 division title)
MSL: St Louis Cardinals 2013-present (2734-2936 regular season, 5 division titles, 2 championships)
TSSL: Seattle Mariners 2006-2029, Pittsburgh Pirates 2030-present (209-277, 5 division titles w/SEA, 1 championship w/SEA)
If he can pitch 8 solid innings everytime out, he has a shot at 18+ this season. He's likely the staff ace right now.
By the way, he's a good young man also.

Catman, Henks or anyone else.
Another Twins fan (Steak to some who have been around for a while) and I had a good 30 minute argument for Slowey's possible bid for an All-Star game. Because of his bad start I think he wouldn't get in despite the 9 wins. He was projecting out if he continues his current hot streak hes on. What were your thoughts on it? I was comparing his overall numbers to Tim Wakefield who has 8 wins. This was before Halladay went to the DL.

With Halladay on the DL until after the All-Star game, I think Slowey stands a very good chance to be selected, unless a pitcher is selected from Baltimore or Cleveland as their representative.
Seriously, I think Slowey has a very good opportunity to pitch in the AS game this season. He deserves it, if he keeps up his streak of good starts.
What do you think, Henks?

Adam Jones or Luke Scott is going for Balitmore.
Cleveland might also send a hitter. Not sure who stands out for them.

Cleveland.. Cliff Lee and Victor Martinez, possibly even Mark DeRosa depending on what they classify him as

Slowey has a great chance. He does everything right, a lot of ground ball outs and good defense behind him is the key. Slowey is around the plate and doe's not walk many batters. I say 17-19 wins. But he has a chance.
