Interesting...The Rocky Mountain News reported earlier this week that the Twins and the Rockies had preliminary trade discussions regarding Rockies third baseman Garrett Atkins. Colorado appeared to be interested in Minnesota's young pitching, but on Thursday the paper brought up another name to keep an eye on in these talks -- Twins outfielder Michael Cuddyer. In addition to wanting to add a starting pitcher this offseason, the Rockies are also looking to add a right-handed, run-producing hitter in a multiple-player package. The Twins currently possess a surplus of outfielders, and there is a chance that they could move one of them this offseason. It also seems to make sense that, with the Rockies considering trades for Matt Holliday, they might be looking for another right-handed outfielder. But the report indicates that the talks between the two teams still appear to be in the very early stages.
