    6/16/05: Giants/Twins

Twins finish their series with the Giants tonight at the Dome. It's the rubber game of a three-game set. This is a series the Twins really need to get. The Giants stink and it has showed these last two games. If the Twins don't make the playoffs, we can talk about this series if they lose this one tonight. This is a game the Twins gotta find a way to win. It's one thing to lose a series to LA since they are a very good team, but to lose to the Giants who have lost 15 out of 18 is not very good.

Joe Mays is on the hill tonight. He can't be worse than what he did in his last start against LA or can he.

I know Lynch wants this series since he hates the Giants which is why I want this series badly.

Last night was painful to watch. It was a stinker all around. The pitching stunk all around and the defense was very bad. This was not something to be proud of for sure.

I am slowly getting at wits end with Joe Mays. He has been brutal in his last three starts. He has been getting hit hard. He is not throwing strikes and everyone is hitting him good. It's like he is throwing batting practice. He had a 4-run lead to work with and he promptly blows it. I am getting tired of it. Joe gets a lot of run support of all the starters yet he can't seem to prosper. He just gets hits hard every inning. This is getting tiredsome. He is not pitching the way he has done in April which is throwing strikes. I am giving him at three starts to turn it around or else I will be calling for Baker or Mullholland to take his spot. Joe has to start pitching better than this.

I have no idea what is up with Juan. He is not as domainant as last year for sure. He did not look very good out there. He is starting to pitch like J.C. in which you never know what you are going to get.

Joe got hit hard too. Yeah he got squeezed by the home plate ump, but he should have not been rattled. That was un-Joe like.

This should have never come to it though. Joe should have pitched a lot better than this.

This was not a great series. The Twins have now lost 4 of 6 and they haven't have played well in the last two series. This has to change pronto and I am hope this weekend will be a different story.
