Ugh. Detroit crawling back to us 6-5 but our good ol' Joe Nathan struck the inning out.

Ugh, we're still suck behind the rival White Sox as the WS won close game against the Rangers.

The Twins need to win tomorrow as much as the Rangers are supposed to!

The Twins come out of the break with Texas at the Dome, then they go to New York and Cleveland. After that, the White Sox come to the Dome (they have completed the games in Chicago).
The Twins need to get a good game from Blackburn tomorrow and get everyone healthy during the break. Hopefully, Carlos Gomez won't touch a bat or ball during the days off. He needs to clear his head again.

I like this kid. He seems to have what it takes to be a big leaguer. He will learn to play defense, and has a lot of potential with his bat.

Good win yesterday, I sat at a sports bar and watched the game. Good to see Harris hitting again, Mauer showing power with the bat is a good sign as well.. Anyone see Youngs ab in the 9th. One pitch he swung at was above his eyes, then the pitch that struck him out was a pitch that did not make it to the plate.. Young needs to spend every day of the break in a batting cage! He does not look right all of the sudden.

Actually Young is doing better right now than he has in the first few months, but yeah he is taking risky swings. We were warned about his tendency to swing at bad pitches at the time the Twins traded for him. That's how Young is and he's still young. Young batters has more tendency to swing more at not so good pitches. Mauer is a rare one.

Gomez, on the other hand, is doing bad. Defensively not too bad but he scared the fans. Gardy probably fell in love with him that he wouldn't take Go Go out for a couple of games in a row. C'mon, give this kid a break.

He probably have produced some runs in the past several games if it wasn't for his mental fatigue/error at the plate.
