Twins Twins wrap up interleague play

Twins wrapped up interleague play today, behind a great showing by Kevin Slowey. Slowey went the distance giving up 3 hits and 0 runs, with 0 BB's and 8 K's. Slowey's record is 5-6, and lowered his season ERA to 3.47. Delmon Young hit his 2nd homer of the year, a 2 run shot in the 6th to put the Twins up 4-0. Casilla added an RBI double in the 7th, putting another run across the plate, ending in 5-0 Twins.

Twins went 14-4 in interleague play this year. The team has always done well against the National League. While going 14-4 in interleague play, the Twins had a 10 game winning streak, and 3 consecutive 3 game sweeps against Washington, Arizona, and San Diego.

Way to go Twins! Keep up the winning ways and we'll be back in the postseason in no time!

Somehow the Twins seem to play well against the NL teams. They have been among the best in interleague play since its inception.

I was reading an article about it and Gardy made a good point. They are only NL teams when they play them in the NL stadium. When they play them at the Dome, they are just like any other AL team, using the DH.

I think the Twins and Tigers will be neck & neck for the AL Central title.
