That's great for Gomez...I really hope the Twins get something out of that Santana deal. I still feel like they got ripped off...but if Gomez plays like this there will be something to look forward to in Minnesota. Good for him.

I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.
Ah, give me something clever to say here.
Cycles are overated.

At least he got his in a good fashion and not something cheap.
Marshall: MILSWANCAs?
Ted: Wait, I can get this. Mothers I'd like to sleep with and never call again.

When is the last guy to hit for the cycle? It is not an easy thing to do! All the crap we took in the Santana deal to me now has offically paid off. Congrats to Gomez!

I don't think cycles are overrated. The triple is very hard to get. Great Job for Gomez
Last guy to hit for the cycle for the Twins was Kirby Puckett back in 1986...when he batted lead off and played CF.

Don't let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game.

Just because something is rare or hard to do doesn't mean it's better than another feat that may be more common.
You almost never see a batter strike out 5 times in a game, is that a great feat as well?
Don't get me wrong, any time a guy hits a HR, 3B, 2B, and a single in a game he's had a great game.
But, at the same time, someone who hits 2 3 run home runs and strikes out twice has a better game IMO.
But if both occur on the same day ESPN will be highlighting the cycle.

Wait.
I didn't even notice that portion of the post.
The Santana deal has paid off because Gomez hit for the cycle once?
