Yeah, I expect to see that happen on more than one occasion. Liriano is still young and has his whole career ahead of him. I would hate to see him out there and watch his elbow pop.....again.

Don't let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game.
You know, he was the top rated pitching spect a few years ago. Knowing he is one of the best young studs to come along in a long time, I still have high hopes for some of MLBs top rated pitching prospects now. If Homer Bailey or Johnny Cueto come even close to what Liriano has shown he can do, I will be a very happy Reds fan.
haha, too bad the reds don't count. chinch

True...
Well, you say that now
I hope he can return to form and be a good pitcher for the Twins this year.
I still say regardless of what happens with Liriano, the Pierzynski for Nathan, Bonser, Liriano trade has to be one of the most lopsided ever.
and probably one of the best made in recent Twins' history

The Twins have a history of making big deals like this. The Knoblauch for prospects trade turned out pretty well and the Viola for prospects one did also. I expect to look back on the Santana trade in a couple of years a bit more positively than I do now.
Francisco Liriano may not be completely back this year, but watch out next season.

Sounds like Liriano will be starting the year in the pen. This is from Yahoo sports. Gardy is a fool.

The Twins just easing him back? This is probably a smart move. He is young and talented, it would sure be a waste if they push him too quickly.
Let him be sure everything is right before they put him back into the rotation. He doesn't have to pitch often, and will do a lot of work on his mechanics before he is put back into the rotation.
I like this move, frankly.
