    Twins Santana is the AL POW of 8/19

    After two innings Sunday afternoon, Mike Redmond believed Johan Santana could throw a no-hitter. Santana didn't, but one of baseball's best pitcher did throw one of the best games of his brilliant career.

    The three-time All-Star and two-time Cy Young Award winner struck out a career-high 17 batters and allowed just two hits over eight scoreless innings. He earned the win in a 1-0 victory over the Angels at the Metrodome.

    Amazing week for Johan he deserves this award. But ya I think the Twins hope of the play-offs are done. Congrats to Santana though!
