    Twins Santana strike's out 17 batters today!

    Outstanding game today by Johan Santana! 17 strike outs in 8 innings pitched. All the pitches were working today to baffle the Rangers. The 17 strike outs was a team record and one for Santana to. Nathan came in for the 9th inning to get the save. 19 strike outs total today. Does not get much better than this. 1-0 Twins win!

    Wow this is just flat out an amazing outing by the best in the majors. Congrats to Santana and the whole Twins organazation.

    It's an amazing feat, but I would LOVE to see him striking out at least 20 in a game.

    His pitch count was up so the 9th was no question in pulling him. If he had a no no going then he would have been out for the 9th,
