Fielder said no to $100 million+
By Mark J. Miller
Superagent Scott Boras doesn't generally swing at the first pitch. And he's got till the end of next season to try and swing some kind of lucrative deal with the Milwaukee Brewers for his client Prince Fielder(notes) who he calls a "rare, rare commodity."
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that Boras turned down an offer from the Brewers for the 26-year-old that was worth five years and more than $100 million.
Boras is quick to point out to the paper that Fielder has put 181 balls over the fence in his 764 major-league games. "Every other player that has that by his age is a Hall of Famer," he told the paper.
The paper notes that the Brewers aren't likely to have the kind of dough Boras wants for his client and "the common belief is that the Brewers will have to trade Fielder, either before the July 31 trade deadline or during the coming off-season."
We sure as hell aren't made of diamonds.......Shame.
