I'm not a Brewers fan, but this seems like a bad move. Hardy has a lot of fans, so it doesn't seem like the best PR move.
Re: Fan Interest
Hello Boss,
Our fans aren't really happy about the rumors of trading J.J. Hardy.
The overall fan interest decreases slightly.
Sincerly,
Your PR Director

If they get good players in return for him they aren't really throwing him away.

There's no real sign this kid is good yet..
There's only one surefire way to find out for sure.
It's a simple matter of whether or not they want to take the risk.
It could work out well for them in the end if he pans out and the return they get for JJ is good as well.
Of course, it can go the complete opposite.
Basically, to summarize,
Best case scenario of trading him is better than holding on to him.
Worst case scenario of trading him is worse than holding on to him.
You can make an argument that you'd rather stick with the "sure thing" but if they play their cards right and Escobar is any good (doesn't even have to be better than JJ, just good) then they'd be in better shape than they are holding onto JJ.
I'm simply saying it's not like they'd just be giving him away to the lowest bidder and for no apparent reason.

I still like his idea better Why can't Hardy be considered a Braun?
i agree with C8 on this one. have te brewers ever heard of "only fix it if it's broken" and right know the brewers are fine! we don't need to make changes....however we may need to make some changes in the offsseason if we dont make the playoffs this year. But yeah, trade escobar! hardy would fetch more, alex rodriguez would fetch more! dosn't meen u have to trade him!
