Two ex-Brewers from their haydays (if you consider late 70's to late 80's haydays) were hired today as coaches.



Chicago White Sox hired Juan Nieves as their new bullpen coach.

Kansas City Royals hired Bob McClure as their new pitching coach.

Here is another scasry thought. Most of you members probably were not even born when these two guys pitched for the Brewers.

I've heard of McClure, I have no idea who Nieves is though.

Here something funny about that browntown. Nieves has pitched more recent than McClure.


Also, here is some Brewers' Trivia for you all here at S3F:

Juan Nieves is the only Milwaukee Brewer to throw a no-hitter.


In fact, Robin Yount made a game saving catch in the bottom of the 9th inning to perserve the no-no!!!
