Brewers Roster Moves....

On the Brewers' website today, the Brewers had highly-touted pitching prospect Parra come to Milwaukee as a just in case. Gallardo and Villenueva had to pitch extra innings over the weekend due to Capuano's inaffectiveness, and Sheets injured middle finger.


Plus Spurling was given some time to tend to a amily emergency. He may be back in time for Monday's game though.

Parra comes up to replace Sheets on the roster.

he was designated to AAA-Nashville, and I believe that means the Brewers have 10-days to trade him or they have to release him. Don't hold me to that information though. He is in the minors though for now!!

Brewers brought up Greg Balfour from the minors to replace Spurling. Sourling was given family emergency leave time.

I am correcting myself here. Earlier, I posted Balfour's name as Greg, but it actually is Grant. OOPS, my bad, sorry for the misinformation. Good Luck to Grant! I read Grant and had the name Greg in my head. Hate when I do things like that!

On Saturday, The Brewers activated C. Spurling from the breavement list and sent OF-Gabe Gross down to AAA-Nashville.

Hey Yost and the front office kept Gywnn, Jr. up. That is cool, I still feel like he does more for our team than Gross, nothing against Gross. I just hope this doesn't mean that the Brewers are showcasing Gywnn though. I strongly feel it would be a huge mistake to trade Gywnn, Jr.

I agree. I would rather see Gross get traded but we'll see. Tony won't be around this coming weekend. He'll be with his Dad.

I like Gabe Gross, I think he culd really help out someone. I like him and really feel like he needs a situation where he gets more playing time.
