Weeks Activated Today (6-18-07)....

The Brewers activated Rickie Weeks from DL. To make room, they sent down Tony Gywnn, Jr.


I totally disagree with this move. Gabe Gross should have been the one sent down. Gywnn is better defensively, stealing bases, pinch-hitting,, pinch-running, more patient at the plate, and hits for a higher average. Gabe Gross does have more power, but the Brewers need more speed and base stealing threat on the team.

Oh well, it is nothing against Gabe Gross, just like Gywnn, Jr. in this particular situation better.

I agree with you. Gwynn was making fabulous plays in the outfield and of course the speed on the bases is always a plus. Ah well I'm sure he'll be back with the next DL...

I personally think Rickie doesn't like to lead-off. SOme people are just NOT comfortable there.

The Tony whom they should've sent down is Graffanino, not Gwynn.

Probably, They can't though, I don't think or they would have to trade him. Not sure on that. I thought Gabe Gross should have been sent down, Gywnn can do more things for the Brewers IMO!

Graff's bat is starting to come around now though, so now I guess we'll never know. I'm sure Gwynn will be back in no time.
