Uh oh...I just hope he isn't hurt too seriously.CHICAGO -- Brewers ace Ben Sheets had to leave Wednesday's game at Wrigley Field after three innings because of a strained right groin.
Sheets, who has battled back and shoulder injuries over the last two seasons, pitched three scoreless innings against the Cubs and was involved in a play at third base in the bottom of the third, when he tagged out Cubs shortstop Ryan Theriot.
Right-hander Elmer Dessens came out to pitch against the Cubs in the fourth with the teams in a scoreless tie.
Sheets is 1-2 this season with a 4.50 ERA in five starts. On Wednesday, he surrendered four Cubs hits in a game that was delayed one hour, 11 minutes at the start by rain. He is in the third year of a four-year, $38.5 million contract that was the richest in franchise history when he signed it.
