Don't ask me why, but the Brewers sign Mench to a 1 year deal. Man, I hope they can get rid of him. We just have way too many outfielders and the Brewers still want Hall in CF, and I feel he needs to play 3B. Not as much wear and tear. I am soo excited about the season, but frustration is setting in already. Yost still has too many players to play and keep happy.
Plus they won't have room for his mammoth head.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.
Ah, give me something clever to say here.
funny!!! I like that!
Kevin Mench's head and Prince Fielder's body on the same team...that could get pretty ugly. I mean, that could escalate fast.

They had to sign Mench rather than just lose him. He has some trade value especially come Spring Training time when teams get a real feel of what their team needs. They will get something for him. Worse comes to worse, he stays and hits 15 homers in a platoon role.
I have nothing against Mench. If the Brewers didnt have so many players that can play multiple postions, I truly feel that I would appreciate Mench more. I still feel he needs to go to a team like the Devil Rays, Pirates, or Royals so he can play daily and prove himself. If the Brewers were a team like they have been in the past 25 years, then I would say, put in him in and see what he can do. I would rather platoon Gross and Jenkins or Hart and Jenkins platoon situation in Milwaukee.
Problem is the DRays have too many OFers too. Like I said, someone will get hurt in Spring Training like every year and things will open up.
I know you are right, I am just frustrated and impatient. Just want a clear and consise picture of who is and who isn't going to be with the Brewers. Start building that team chemistry, "mojo" if you will.
Brewers signed Chris Capuano for one-year yesterday!!! Yeah, I hope they can lock him up for a long time soon!
They would be very smart to sign him to a long-term deal. He's going to be a good pitcher for a long time and could anchor that rotation with Sheets in the future.

I agree!!!! In todays world of baseball, there is just NO loyality to teams anymore. It is all about the $$$$$$$$$. I just hope the Brewers will be able to keep him and not loose him.
Brewers also signed Graffinino to a healthy contract. Not bad for a utility player! Congrats to Tony!
Brewers agreed to terms with Vargas yesterday.
Brewers signed Jose Capallan today and 4 other. Drew Anderson is an OF prospect is the only other player that I know much about. I have not kept up on the minor league teams of the Brewers the past two years. Lost track while taking care of my 3 1/2 year old.
