    One hiring one firing



    Didn't take long for Mattingly to get a job, Don signed this afternoon to four years of Loria hell.

    This evening the team announced they fired GM Dan Jennings. The Blue Jays parted ways with their GM Alex Anthopoulos earlier this morning and at that time there was no more GM jobs open......coincidence????

    Jennings basically signed his walking papers the moment he agreed to yield his GM duties in order to manage the team. Then again, maybe the choice wasn't up to him, similar to when the Knicks owner ordered Isiah Thomas to coach the mess he assembled.

    I wouldn't be surprised if Loria and crew gave him some song and dance about his place with the team being secure, a lot of stuff goes on behind closed doors.
