Those are the reports, for a pedestrian haul of a 5th rounder.
I'm largely indifferent and un-phased by this trade. Granted, there goes the #1 receiver and a play-maker, and one could question if Mike Wallace is ready to step right in, I'm not sure. Holmes will always be in NFL history for having a top 5 catch. But his fate seems to be similar to David Tyree, his legend fading fast. Fortunately, he's a starting caliber receiver and gives Mark Sanchez a good punch of Braylon Edwards, Dustin Keller, and Holmes. Even if they do drop a lot of passes.
But I never liked the selection years ago. Sure, I'm grateful for THE CATCH, but I never did care much for him. It seems fitting that a notorious user of pot will now be stationed in New York. He'll be flying high now.
