Award Winning

As we stroll through September, we're a third of the way through, and nearing the conclusion of another excellent season of baseball. The playoff races have started to drift off as separation has taken its toll. But, the awards? Not so much. I mean Justin Verlander is obviously the AL Cy Young, in one of the better crop of Cy Young candidates in quite some time (just think about what Sabathia, Shields, and Weaver have done...with some nods to CJ Wilson, Josh Beckett, and Jon Lester.. you tell me if where 2010 Felix Hernandez lands with those 6 guys 2011 years). And the NL Rookie of the Year is almost certainly Craig Kimbrel after his dominating season as a closer (with all due respect to Vance Worley and Josh Collmenter coming out of nowhere for contenders, and a dozen other Braves having good years). That leaves the NL MVP, NL Cy Young, AL MVP, and AL Rookie of the Year that seemingly might be wide open (although Jeremy Hellickson if you haven't noticed, is pitching with an ERA under 3.00 these days).
So, in the coming weeks, we will have our annual BS/S3F polls to determine the winners. Hopefully we don't make any Yankee fans break out into tears this year.
