"What do I do now?"
What you do now is ban Bonds for life, just like Pete Rose.
Ok, ok. That's not going to happen, but one can dream, can't he?

what that he used steroids? like that really needs all that much more of an investigation. the simple truth is that bud cannot really do anythingOriginally Posted by redsfan28

Here's all you need to read out of that article...
Time to let it go fellas.A suspension, however, is not likely in the near term, two league sources told ESPN's Pedro Gomez. The league has no grounds for discipline, the sources said, although that could change if the government indicts Bonds on perjury or tax evasion charges.
Lets hope when this investigation is over we can all except the findings and move. My fear is unless he is hung from the tallest tree some will never let
it go. Lets move on and enjoy the baseball season!
Selig COULD suspend him using the "best interest of the game" clause, but he doesn't have the spine to.

redsfan28...Lets let the investigation take place before we talk punishment.
If proven guilty I will support whatever baseball wants to do. Will you?
no he couldnt as he doesnt have any grounds too.Originally Posted by redsfan28

He's a very close minded Commissioner.
Selig is now denying these reports and I agree he should leave it alone. If he does investigate Bonds is he going to go back and investigage McGwire? How about Sosa, Giambi, Sheffield, or any other player rumored to have used steroids? They won't and they can't. At some point they need to move on.
Really though, the best thing Bonds can do for baseball at this point is retire. Take his spot in the HOF in five years and be happy.
I agree, but I don't think he owes us (the fans) that. Barry Bonds used steroids. At this point to believe otherwise is purely faith. Unfortunately, so did as many as 4 out of 5 players during his career. So I don't think that users should all retire, or have their stats erased, or be banned for life. They will carry the stigma around forever and how history views them is based on what we tell the next generation about them. I think that's punishment enough.Originally Posted by Killah Sith
