Yeah, the Dodgers would be screwed if they bring back Sergeant Collins.

    Good move, IMO.

I've said since prior to him taking over for the Dodgers that I don't think he'd be a good GM, and his stint with the Dodgers made me feel even more likely that I was indeed right.

DePodesta did nothing good and Dodgers fans should be happy.

DePo did more for the Dodgers than Kevin Malone and Dan Evans ever could.

Which isn't saying anything at all.

If it's true that DePo favored hiring Terry Collins as manager, then I'd change my opinion. But we'll now never know for sure.

There are no stats. that would indicate he did a good job. That's where I make my assessment of the situation. He certainly doesn't seem to be in the league with Epstein, Jocketty and those types.

He was there 2 years, and made the playoffs the first year. Sorry, they can't all go Epstein.

At least DePo didn't go Dan O'Brien and signed Eric Milton. We'll take Lowe.

So, were you for or against the firing?

Pick a position instead of attacking everyone else.

Definitely against, like you said. I've never posted that DePo was an awful GM.

And Depodesta almost cost them that playoff spot. They were plenty ahead in the West until he made those moves in 2004.

O'Brien is worse than DePodesta for sure. What's your point? I never disagreed with that. I just posted my thoughts on DePodesta. Bringing up O'Brien adds nothing to the conversation at hand.

Edit-Yes it does when your fellow Reds fans posted in the first page that they'd like to have DePo replace O'Brien.
