possibly...but they still need to add good pitchers. You can't mold rocks, you need clay

No, because he won't have the talent that he had in Atlanta. No John S. adding talent that he can mold, etc. He might help them out to a degree, but I don't think there will be any wholesale changes.

Why wouldn't they let you watch your team in the World Series? That reallyu sucks.
I may have seen the beginning of the games, but I remember waking up the next morning and checking the scores on TV to see if the A's had won. I do remember seeing more of the 1989 series.

I guess you remember the Loma Prieta Earthquake quite well then, huh?

why are you talking about baseball history in the era where it was a white only league? those stats are meaningless, as are all world championships from that era as far as i'm concerned.

Good: Maz isn't with the Yankees
Bad: Maz seems to be with a division rival.
Me: Sad, but the Sox made a great coaching move today...our third base coach has been transferred to Milwaukee.

Someone plays the race card as much as an NBA player.

can you imagine today's mlb w/o vlad, pujols, arod, bonds, etc. it is not pulling the race card, it is simply looking at history. it is what it is. it is something that has to be considered when comparing eras, as far as i'm concerned.

Man you are a perfect example why I cannot stand most people. You play the race card more than Jesse Jackson and the NAALCP combined. They played the games, at that time it was socially acceptable to do taht (right or wrong). Even if they did it wouldnt have mattered in the grand scheme of things just add a few more names, as just like any race not everyone was Jackie Robinson, Roy Campanella, Bob Gibson, Roberto Clemente and in the large scale of things not affecting many records.
