This should be a good world series.

Nothing makes me happier than watching the team that I root for dog pile at the mound. Until your ace pitcher gets stepped on and is injured for the rest of the postseason (no lie, that happened to LSU in last years Super Regional).
Wheeler used to be like a scrub for what.. the mets, d-rays.. beautiful.
Marshall: MILSWANCAs?
Ted: Wait, I can get this. Mothers I'd like to sleep with and never call again.

Homer: We're proud of you, boy.
Bart: Thanks, Dad. But part of this D-minus belongs to God.
Clemens in game 1, Pettitte in game 2?
October 19th has been a fantastic day for playoff baseball in the past two years.
2004: The Schilling' sock game, the continuation of the Red Sox comeback and streak of 8 wins to the World Series and their first win in 86 years.
2005: The Astros, who had never made the WS, finally get there for Hall of Fame caliber players who stayed in Houston for their entire career, Biggio and Bagwell.
I really don't know who to cheer for. Rather have two teams to cheer for than two to disdain

Then out of fairness to the others you will be Slagathor.
I do feel good for Bagwell and Biggio. They are two of the names I identify with most since I started following MLB, as they have been two of the better players for quite some time.

This will probably be the lowest scoring WS ever.
And probably also the lowest rated.
Predictions? I say chi sox in 6. I think the ratings will be decent for this one.
astros in six. and the ratings should be alright considering the chicago market is involved.

Oh yeah, I forgot, all of a sudden all these Cubs fans spouting off about 'their White Sox'. Anyway, I agree, Astros in 6.
no that aint happenin. too many of us are too pissed off. I am watching cuz i love baseball (and to hope for houston to win). this is a metro area of over 11 million people. there are probably 40-45% of those baseball fans white sox fans.Originally Posted by MarinersFan87

Wasn't directed at you, but a lot of the Cubs fans that I know are claiming that they're rooting for their home town team now. Thats a load of shit if you ask me, they should be rooting like hell against their cross town rivals. I know if I was a Cubs fan I sure as hell wouldn't want the White Sox to win a WS before we won another.
