Like I said when a star gets caught and suspended then we will know that MLB is serious. Otherwise these have been sacrificial lambs sent to the slaughter to try and appease the ticked off fans.

You all are operating on the flawed assumption that the stars are still guilty, when certainly many of the players who have been taking steroids have quit since the testing has taken effect. Testing is also random, so stars getting tested is also random.
Tsk tsk tsk. This is just depressing. I agree with some of you guys that MLB is not really taking the drug testing seriously. If fans find out majority of the players are on drugs (which we do think that already), then baseball will be dead in the next few years.
NEW YORK (AP) -- Texas Rangers minor league pitcher Agustin Montero was suspended for 10 days Wednesday, becoming the third player to test positive under major league baseball's new steroids policy.
Agustin, who has never appeared in a major league game, failed the drug test while he was on the Rangers' 40-man roster during spring training. He was designated for assignment on April 2, when opening-day rosters were set, then sent outright to Frisco of the Double-A Texas League. He is 0-1 with a 5.63 ERA in eight innings over five relief appearances. A 27-year-old right-hander, Montero spent four years in the Oakland organization and five in the Los Angeles Dodgers system before signing with Texas last Nov. 19. He began this season with a 28-22 record and 4.38 ERA in 28 starts and 234 relief appearance in the minors, then went 0-1 with a 7.15 ERA in 11 1-3 innings over 11 games during spring training with the Rangers.
Third player caught!

This is just sad, Strong was a very prominsing player and now hes caught on steroids. ugh.EW YORK (AP) -- Seattle Mariners minor league outfielder Jamal Strong was suspended for 10 days Tuesday, making him the fourth player to test positive under major league baseball's new policy on performance-enhancing drugs.
Strong, who played 12 games for Seattle in 2003, was with Triple-A Tacoma this season. The speedy leadoff man hit .235 with three RBIs through 12 games.
Strong, 26, was sent down to the minors in late March. He hit .324 with three homers, 24 RBIs and 19 stolen bases in 64 games for Tacoma last year.
2003 Hybrid World Champion (115-47 reg season, 11-4 playoffs)
TBL: Anaheim Angels 2006-present (238-244 regular season, 1 division title)
MSL: St Louis Cardinals 2013-present (2734-2936 regular season, 5 division titles, 2 championships)
TSSL: Seattle Mariners 2006-2029, Pittsburgh Pirates 2030-present (209-277, 5 division titles w/SEA, 1 championship w/SEA)
Interesting that it is three smaller names and only one name that most people could identify (Alex Sanchez). Either the stars are smart or maybe a majority of the steroids are done by fringe players trying to go from 300k to 1 million rather than guys trying to get from 10 to 12 million per year
Yeah your right on the identification but Strong had a legit shot of making the M's squad this season and he basically messed it up with this positive test. It will be intreresting how they will handle the situation. They just realeased Ryan Anderson.

Give me a break.
This is an MLB coverup IMO.
There is no way that "only" these fringe players are using steroids.
The Simpson family gathers around, as Homer places Bart's passed test on the fridge.)
Homer: We're proud of you, boy.
Bart: Thanks, Dad. But part of this D-minus belongs to God.
God, it's random testing. Testing who you want wouldn't make it random.
And Jamal Strong wasn't any good anyway.
How is this a coverup? The tests are weak. These players are being caught on banned substances. Saber is right on the money. Why do you think players are still using when they have so much to lose? You people are asking way too much of this flawed testing system. They are urine tests, not blood.
most of the stars who would be considered suspect arent taking steroids. they are taking HGH or the steroids that cannot be detected. also, some of these guys actually arent taking steroids but can afford the ultra high training methods that you and me cannot even think to afford.
