Could've used the money and draft pick that was wasted on Joe Fucking Kelly and Not-Bryce Harper and spent it on Craig Kimbrel or any other decent reliever out there, but noooo...the fucking nerds cannot merely make a sound decision. They must try to overthink shit and go for the reclamation project. It's what nerds do.
I think it's more cheap owners since no one wants to pay Kimbrel.

Doesn't have to be Kimbrel. You give me the same $25M and surely I can get somebody better than Joe Fucking Kelly. I thought Friedman was a genius at turning bums into shutdown relievers in Tampa. I'm embarrassed and disappointed that he's failed to replicate the same success in L.A.

At this point, sure. Though if Kimbrel said he'd take a 1/10 deal today, all of a sudden a lot of teams wouldn't worry about that pick.
