Very fun first day of baseball so far. Happ goes deep on the first pitch, Stanton goes deep twice, Red Sox blow their game, Fernando Rodney already gave up a walk-off home run, and much more.

Gabe Kapler managing the way I did when I played MLB The Show for the first time, made a pitching change without remembering to warm somebody up in the bullpen.
Kapler looks lost out there. Listening Chris "Mad Dog" Russo destroy him was extremely entertaining.

I prepare myself whenever the Dodgers score just one go-ahead run in an extra-inning marathon that they will still get walked off in the bottom half, and yet I am still miserable. Why, God, why?

At least you didn't lose on a infield pop up to your new, and very expensive franchise player like the Padres did tonight.

Much to do being made about that but ten years from now I’m probably not going to remember that one April loss in a rebuilding year they lost in a stupid fashion like I still remember giving up four straight home runs to blow a game today.

I just hope the Padres fans don’t mercilessly boo their very expensive offseason acquisition after one bad game early in the season like another team’s fans did after their very expensive offseason acquisition stuck out five times.

I picked up Ohtani in the draft... but Yahoo counts him as 2 players, wtf. Now I have one guy taking up 2 roster spots... which is insane.

It was their work around for his two way abilities and the way the system works.
You don't actually have to have him take up two players, though. You can, if you choose (or lose out on one) have him just as a pitcher or just as a batter.
In all the leagues I am in (five) nobody drafted him as a hitter but he kept getting drafted as a pitcher. Everyone, of course, rushed to sign Ohtani (batter) after he hit a few home runs...myself included.
