But seriously, the Dodgers pretty much need Boston's relievers to shit all over themselves in order to have a prayer, because replace Ohio State and the CFP in the following with Boston and the World Series and the feeling is the same.

I like how last year going into the CFP the running narrative was how Ohio State didn't even belong in it and it was a crime that they were in over TCU and Baylor and how lucky they were. But now that they won the title suddenly they're the unstoppable force everyone in the media knew they were all along and I have a better chance of hitting both the Powerball and Mega Millions jackpots in the same week than Ohio State has in not repeating as champs.

When I wrote that it was about the CFP that Ohio State won but going into it it was a crime against humanity that they were even in the playoffs. But since they won it they were suddenly the unstoppable powerhouse going into the following season.

The only real parallel is that people are hyping them as champs before the games are played, but the circumstances are nowhere near the same.
