@annkillion
RIP Roy Halladay, who pitched a no-hitter in 2010 NLDS and then gave up two homers to Cody Ross in Game 1 of NLCS.I understand she intended the memory as a tribute to Halladay's greatness, but as a San Francisco sports columnist, she had to know that was going to be taken as a troll tweet by some people.Someone took offense to me remembering what Cody Ross did off Halladay. That seems weird. It was amazing because he was so unhittable.
Even if she did not mean it that way... it was pointless. The no-hitter, the awards, that is legacy, you remember that. The other? Nah.
I was there for that no-hitter. I have never been around 30k+ so disappointed, and it was clear by the third inning that he had the entire game figured out. What a pitcher and what a shame to lose him when he was still so young. Its too bad that injuries slowed him down he had some of the most dominating seasons we were lucky enough to enjoy. RIP Roy.

He was my right handed Steve Carlton. Slider was just about as nasty as they go.

This whole story is so sad. They are replaying his perfect game against the Marlins on MLB Network right now. RIP, Doc.

Not sure who the announcer is for this game so if anyone knows, that would be great if you could help me out because he just said something that made me laugh a little. Regarding Halladay in the 9th inning in the dugout, waiting to go back out and finish the game -
"Very few have gone near him in the dugout, very few go near him anyway"
I loved that quote.. Because to me, that showed of fierce of a competitor he was. His teammates knew not to bother him during games because of how focused he was.

After that game they also showed his no-hitter in the NLDS. Crazy stuff.

Watching the E:60 on Halladay right now. I'm just now seeing in his 2013 season that he was struggling like latter stage Elvis, sweaty and slurring his words. Before I was surprised he retired so early, now I realize he should've retired after he blew out his back in Game 5 of the 2011 NLDS. Either way, it's a shame his career and his life ended so soon. And him flying under bridges, crazy stuff.
