So, Chris Archer, who returned to the Rays' camp after his start against Colombia and had booked a flight to L.A. to rejoin Team USA for the final round, was told that he was no longer needed to pitch.

This is stupid. Are they not going to use Jeff Samardzija and Mark Melancon because they weren't with the team from the start of the tourney?
