Yeah, poor Cubs fans. They're the true believers because only they know what it's like to sit through losing season after losing season after losing season never winning a World Series....at least not since 1908. But they keep on rooting for them, so they're the true fans and a WS win will be very deserving!
Meanwhile, I sit here as a Padres fan wondering when the last time I saw my team win a World Series and why the media doesn't gush all over my team whenever they show some promise.
The caption for this shitfest love festival on the front page said "Cubs fans know heartbreak better than anyone". Yeah, I'm a fan from San Diego. I think I can raise the bullshit flag on that one.
