    Orioles Breaking News: Mazzilli Fired!

    Orioles fired manager Lee Mazzilli. Bench coach Sam Perlozzo will act as the interim manager for the rest of the season.
    We would have been in favor of the firing of Mazzilli at the conclusion of last year. That he's going now as the scapegoat for the overly high expectations brought on by a strong first half hardly seems fair, but there just wasn't a lot to like about him as a manager.
